I started work on wednesday at the power plant that we are building out here in southern illinois. It was a little overwhelming, but extremely exciting at the same time. We are erecting the structural steel for the first of two boilers right now. We will also erect the steel for the turbine and the air handler. The project is amazing. The image above takes you to the owners website that talks about all of the technological advances that are being implemented into the power plant. Over the last little while, bechtel did two pours of concrete. One involved 400 trucks and the other involved 300 trucks. I have been leaving the house at 5:20 am to start work by 6am, so I am beat by the time I get home. Long days!
